INTRODUCTION
Tense refers to the
time of action or the state of being expressed by a verb. Tenses are essential
in sentence formation because they help indicate when an action takes place - in
the past, present, or future. Understanding and using the correct tense ensures
clarity and precision in communication, which is crucial for academic,
professional, and everyday contexts.
Tenses
are broadly divided into three main categories:
